Oh WoW... I Guess You Weren't That Easy To Quit Afterall...

Sorry for not posting anything in SO LONG, but I have been busy PLAYING WOW! Yep, I gave it up for what?... a whole 4 months? 5? 6 max! And now I am back with a vengeance! I have been playing since the day after my birthday, so a month tomorrow, and I have a level 75 Mage and a level 70 Priest on a new server! Along with new people to play with, I even have a brand new guild!!! No more joining those fail guilds for me this time, hehe, I just made my own damn guild! I joined so many guilds before I quit playing, and every single one of them have fallen apart since, lol, so I just thought there was no point trying to find one on my new server when I know I can run my own!

It's pretty funny actually, all those years of WoW, making friends and leveling characters, and I end up starting over with nothing and playing with only the two people I started playing with back in the day! (my brother and my boyfriend) It's a bit sad I guess if I think about all that wasted time on my old servers... but I am thinking I will fork out the $25 to transfer my BE pally to this new server. At least then I'd get half of my gold (the other half being on my alliance server) and all my heirlooms, which I miss! lol.

I am REALLY enjoying WoW this time around I must say! They added this FANTASTIC thing, a cross server dungeon finder, which basically makes it so you can level from 15 to 80 by just doing instances! It has been really fun on my mage, because playing a dps class is pretty low stress in groups, but I am discipline on my priest and have been attempting to heal. I have always liked being a healer, but was only going to level my mage, my brother was going to level a holy paladin, my boyfriend was leveling a tank, and my brother's friend was being a rogue. We figured we'd just need to make one friend and we'd have a sweet little group, but my brother changed his mind so many times as to what class/spec he wanted to play before level 15 that I figured I should level a healer just to be safe, lol. He just got to 80 yesterday, and I believe he has now decided he wants to be a tank, so the healer was a good idea!

I like my guild as well, somehow we've managed to accumulate a really awesome little group of 50! Everyone is really friendly, and most are just coming back from a long WoW break (longer than mine even), so they know how to play, but are just learning all the new stuff. I was concerned about starting up a guild and not having the money for guild bank tabs, it being a brand new server and me having no gold, but everyone donated a lot of money, so we already have 4 tabs and I've only had to pay for about half of them myself! I did want to name the guild "Pink Fluffy Kittens" like my old guild, but I know as fun as it was, the name and pink tabard probably kept some people from joining, hehe. I went with though the decision about the name was just as much my brother's, his friend's, and my boyfriend's. I came up with a big list of names I liked, and then they helped me decide! Oh, and the tabard is not pink, lol.

This is my mage and my guild tabard.

So, I am back on the WoWcrack, my place is a mess, I haven't seen my friends much, my cat is feeling neglected... but I am almost level 80 damnit!!! hehe I will try to post again soon, probably more about WoW... ^^

Mummy? Ghost? How To Come Back To Life In Sims 3

Dear Blog,

So I have been playing Sims 3 A LOT still, lol and figured I'd do a quick post about a couple of the things I have discovered! My main sim, the one who accidentally had 7 babies at once and crashed my game after a birthday cake fiasco, I managed to copy into a new town that isn't bugged out. She still had all her stuff, her skills and her pictures, which I was happy about, so I have continued working on some of the photography challenges. I had been to Egypt a lot, and so I collected enough Canopic Jars and had put together a Sarcophagus of Kings with the 5 fragments I had discovered while exploring a couple tombs. The engraving on the Canopic Jars says that 5 of them placed within a sarcophagus would allow a mummy to join my household, so I tried it! Sure enough, it worked! (*Note: If you have 5 jars, but it won't let you summon, try placing them on your lot, then back into your inventory!)

So I had fun with the mummy for a while, she doesn't ever need to sleep or use the toilet, but she does need to eat, shower, get social and have fun. I tried a few different times with a few of my different sarcophagus, and 4 out of 5 of them were always female. I don't know if that was just a fluke, or if the majority of summonable mummys are female.

Eventually I got tired of my mummy and decided it was time to get my "doubly dead" photograph, which is a picture of a ghost that was once a mummy. It's very easy to kill a mummy, all they have to do is light a fire in a fireplace and they burst into flames, so as long as they are blocked from extinguishing themselves (I used a fence) they die in only 30 (in game) minutes. So she died and the grim reaper showed up and I got my picture for my Paranormal Challenge. Please forgive the failness of this pic, it's a screenshot of a in game photograph, because I didn't think to take a screeny as well as a photograph! *duh*

Turning A Mummy Back Into A Living Sim:
All you need to do for this is get your mummy to sleep for a few days in a sarcophagus! I found out by mistake after getting tired of my mummy and hiding her away in the sarcophagus to sleep until I wanted to play with her again (their stats do not decrease while they are asleep). Then one of my babies had a birthday party, so the mummy came out to party, and after her long sleep, the sarcophagus restored her life.

Bringing A Dead Sim Back To Life:
There may be easier ways to do this, but this is how I managed to bring my sim back to life. First I got the opportunity "Oh My Ghost" to bring the remains of a loved one to the science facility. I just happened to have some dead family in my inventory, so I figured I'd see what would happen. They ended up making the character playable, but she was still a ghost. I had heard that ambrosia could make a sim come back to life if they ate it, and my character had already learned the recipe. The hard part is getting the life fruit and deathfish needed to make it. The life fruit I had from when I harvested it in one of the last rooms of the Great Pyramid in Egypt, so just had to catch a deathfish. I just fished anywhere (Beach, Crystal Springs) until my fishing was high enough to use other fish as bait, then I used the Red Herring as bait at Crystal Springs and fished up a few Angel Fish. Then I went to the cemetery and used the Angel Fish as bait between 1am and 5am, and eventually caught myself some deathfish. The following is the video of my dead sim coming back to life after eating the ambrosia.

*Please Note! If you plan on growing the life fruit yourself with gardening, once you reach 10 gardening and 9 fishing, your sim will not be able to fish at all anymore. This is an annoying bug, but can be avoided by having another sim do your fishing, or by finding the life fruit in the Great Pyramid and not getting the gardening skill. Hopefully they will fix this soon!

I hope this helps some people, and as I figure out more things or encounter more irritating bugs, I will post!

Sims3 R Busted =,(

Dear Blog,

So I got the Sims3 World Adventures for Christmas, and have been playing it quite a bit since. It has A LOT of content, so even though I'm pushing 48 hours of play time, I am still no where near finished seeing/doing everything, which is amazing!

There do seem to be some bugs however... My son was having a birthday party, and when he blew out the candles, everyone disappeared... They all were like stuck somewhere where I couldn't' see them and they all started dieing because I couldn't get them to eat/sleep/etc. I looked up online and saw that this had happened to a couple of other people, so I used the recommended "resetsim" cheat. That solved the issue at the time, but since them my game has been epically buggy! My main sim just went to the hospital to have a baby, and ended up doing it 7 times, so yeah, I now have 7 identical twin girls, and more than the allotted amount of sims in a family. I DON'T WANT THAT MANY BABIES! She just kept having them, but the thing is she kept resetting in between so I know she wasn't meant to have that many babies, lol. Now I have been trying to move some people out so I can split up the family, but it doesn't work, and just crashes the game... My main character had like a level 2 visa everywhere and some pretty sweet loot from all the places, and now I am going to have to start ALL OVER!!!!! Cuz yeah, I can't make this game run =( I'm very sad, and sleepy because I have been trying to figure this out all night.

So basically... avoid birthday cakes in Sims 3 World Adventure.... at least until they patch it or something! Also, you cannot take a picture of the Theatre... and having a 250,000 simolean photography collection is almost impossible... so don't pick that as your lifetime want... That is all =)

WoW Cataclysm?... Meh...

Dear Blog,

Has anyone else noticed that it seems like WoW is possibly lacking a small portion of their millions of players?? I got an e-mail from them the other day about an account I had not been playing in a few months (maybe 6?) and they were offering me 7 days of free playing time. I thought at first it might have been a scam, I have gotten a few of those in my e-mail over the years, "just enter your account information here on this page that LOOKS like the WoW log in page and in just a few hours your account will be for sale on e-bay" type things, but it turns out this one was legit. I am also seeing all those mohawk grenade commercials on like every channel, I mean, I enjoy it, yaaay Mr.T and all, but is it possible that WoW is throwing out mad marketing ploys to try and re-recruit their lost players? It did seem like there were less people standing about when I logged on like a sucker to do the new Pilgrim's Bounty achievements... I just really wanted that turkey pet... lol.

I really do think I am finished with WoW though... Even when I was working to get my turkey pet I was irritated at how repetitive and time consuming it was. It seems that although WoW got another month out of me so I could check out pilgrim's bounty (and I won't lie... I wanted a mohawk grenade...) I was so disappointed and fed up with spending hours getting yet another useless title and pet that I am pretty sure there'll be no going back for me now. Even the idea of Cataclysm doesn't appeal to me anymore! I mean, I always have fun when I play with just my boyfriend or my best friend, but neither of them play much anymore either... Oh well, we will see I guess! For now I am happy with my Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age, Sims, and Peggle! hehe

Return to Ostagar - Dragon Age Origins

Dear Blog,

I haven't played Dragon Age in a couple weeks now, even though I'd been planning on finishing the game a second time, or even more! I've been all caught up playing Modern Warfare 2, hardcore team death matches, but my XBL time expires on the 18th of December, so I will be returning to Dragon Age shortly! I am very excited about the expansion, which is scheduled to be released later this month for just 400 MSP (aprox $5). This will give you the chance to return to Ostagar (which is where you fight the big battle at the beginning of the game and King Cailan dies). I can't imagine it will be a very long expansion, but I am greatly looking forward to it nonetheless! I'll post a little review the day it comes out, because I am sure I will play through it only a few hours after it is released! I cannot wait to spend more time with my dear Alistair! <3 hehehe

WoWless For Over A Week! =)

Dear Blog,

I have been WoWless since the 11th! Yeah that's just 8 days, but I have only thought about renewing my account like once, which is a good sign I think! I am a little worried that they'll give out another Anniversary Pet on the 23 (I think it's November 23..?) and I would hate to miss out on a pet!!! I love those damn vanity pets, and would be so sad if I missed a cute one like last year's polar bear cub!!! That's really the only reason I've thoughts about renewing though, which is kind of silly, pay for a month just for some in game pet. I doubt I could justify that to myself, lol.

Dragon Age has helped to ween me off my wow addiction, and those Dragon Age characters are so much nicer than all the jerks who play WoW, lol. Mind you, they aren't real people... but unless I am shooting players, I think I may avoid MMOs from now on. Everyone's just so douchey on WoW now, whether the are stupid fourteen year olds or fourty year old elitest pigs, I haven't met anyone worth knowing on WoW in years, and anyone nice I had known from WoW, I don't talk to anymore, lol. Sure I got my best friend into playing, and now she plays and I don't, lol but she likes questing alone and likes figuring everything out for herself. She doesn'teven have WotLK yet, so we never really played together to begin with.

I think I may play again once she gets to 80, or if my boyfriend or brother get back into it, or when Cataclysm comes out, but for now I am happy not playing. CoD5 and Dragon Age have been satisfying my gaming needs, and they aren't costing me monthly to play! Plus, all the douchebags on CoD5 get shot, so it's much more satisfying than dealing with the douchey WoW players!

We'll see how long my little no-wow-athon lasts, but I dare say, dear Wow, this could be the end!

Dragon Age Origins - Gift Giving Guide

I ended up writing this all down because I kept forgetting which characters liked what best and I've been playing through on a few different characters so having a reference has been handy! (It's just such a waste when you get it wrong and only get a +1 with Zevren when you could have gotten +6 with Wynne for example.) So here's my list, the ones with *stars* are the ones that are most important to the character.

Current Map of Ferelden
Map of the Anderfels
Map of Occupied Ferelden
Botanist’ Map of Thedas
Ancient Map of the Imperium

Dog:
Any bone, Large, Ox, Lamb, Beef, Veal. (Note: Your Dog is usually at full approval, and some members can get up to +6 from the bones, so it's probably best to give it to them seeing as giving it to the dog is pretty much a waste. Alistair seemed to like the Ox bone, and Sten liked the Beef bone I believe, both +4)

Shale:
Any "remarkable" gem, found at various vendors throughout Ferelden

Gifts For Anyone:
So far I have only come across Painted Skyball, Tiara, and Silver Demon Head Ring that one party member has not preffered more than the others. I am assuming these can be given to whoever.
