Sims3 R Busted =,(

So I got the Sims3 World Adventures for Christmas, and have been playing it quite a bit since. It has A LOT of content, so even though I'm pushing 48 hours of play time, I am still no where near finished seeing/doing everything, which is amazing!

There do seem to be some bugs however... My son was having a birthday party, and when he blew out the candles, everyone disappeared... They all were like stuck somewhere where I couldn't' see them and they all started dieing because I couldn't get them to eat/sleep/etc. I looked up online and saw that this had happened to a couple of other people, so I used the recommended "resetsim" cheat. That solved the issue at the time, but since them my game has been epically buggy! My main sim just went to the hospital to have a baby, and ended up doing it 7 times, so yeah, I now have 7 identical twin girls, and more than the allotted amount of sims in a family. I DON'T WANT THAT MANY BABIES! She just kept having them, but the thing is she kept resetting in between so I know she wasn't meant to have that many babies, lol. Now I have been trying to move some people out so I can split up the family, but it doesn't work, and just crashes the game... My main character had like a level 2 visa everywhere and some pretty sweet loot from all the places, and now I am going to have to start ALL OVER!!!!! Cuz yeah, I can't make this game run =( I'm very sad, and sleepy because I have been trying to figure this out all night.

So basically... avoid birthday cakes in Sims 3 World Adventure.... at least until they patch it or something! Also, you cannot take a picture of the Theatre... and having a 250,000 simolean photography collection is almost impossible... so don't pick that as your lifetime want... That is all =)

WoW Cataclysm?... Meh...

Has anyone else noticed that it seems like WoW is possibly lacking a small portion of their millions of players?? I got an e-mail from them the other day about an account I had not been playing in a few months (maybe 6?) and they were offering me 7 days of free playing time. I thought at first it might have been a scam, I have gotten a few of those in my e-mail over the years, "just enter your account information here on this page that LOOKS like the WoW log in page and in just a few hours your account will be for sale on e-bay" type things, but it turns out this one was legit. I am also seeing all those mohawk grenade commercials on like every channel, I mean, I enjoy it, yaaay Mr.T and all, but is it possible that WoW is throwing out mad marketing ploys to try and re-recruit their lost players? It did seem like there were less people standing about when I logged on like a sucker to do the new Pilgrim's Bounty achievements... I just really wanted that turkey pet... lol.

I really do think I am finished with WoW though... Even when I was working to get my turkey pet I was irritated at how repetitive and time consuming it was. It seems that although WoW got another month out of me so I could check out pilgrim's bounty (and I won't lie... I wanted a mohawk grenade...) I was so disappointed and fed up with spending hours getting yet another useless title and pet that I am pretty sure there'll be no going back for me now. Even the idea of Cataclysm doesn't appeal to me anymore! I mean, I always have fun when I play with just my boyfriend or my best friend, but neither of them play much anymore either... Oh well, we will see I guess! For now I am happy with my Modern Warfare 2, Dragon Age, Sims, and Peggle! hehe

Return to Ostagar - Dragon Age Origins

Dear Blog,

I haven't played Dragon Age in a couple weeks now, even though I'd been planning on finishing the game a second time, or even more! I've been all caught up playing Modern Warfare 2, hardcore team death matches, but my XBL time expires on the 18th of December, so I will be returning to Dragon Age shortly! I am very excited about the expansion, which is scheduled to be released later this month for just 400 MSP (aprox $5). This will give you the chance to return to Ostagar (which is where you fight the big battle at the beginning of the game and King Cailan dies). I can't imagine it will be a very long expansion, but I am greatly looking forward to it nonetheless! I'll post a little review the day it comes out, because I am sure I will play through it only a few hours after it is released! I cannot wait to spend more time with my dear Alistair! <3 hehehe

WoWless For Over A Week! =)

Dear Blog,

I have been WoWless since the 11th! Yeah that's just 8 days, but I have only thought about renewing my account like once, which is a good sign I think! I am a little worried that they'll give out another Anniversary Pet on the 23 (I think it's November 23..?) and I would hate to miss out on a pet!!! I love those damn vanity pets, and would be so sad if I missed a cute one like last year's polar bear cub!!! That's really the only reason I've thoughts about renewing though, which is kind of silly, pay for a month just for some in game pet. I doubt I could justify that to myself, lol.

Dragon Age has helped to ween me off my wow addiction, and those Dragon Age characters are so much nicer than all the jerks who play WoW, lol. Mind you, they aren't real people... but unless I am shooting players, I think I may avoid MMOs from now on. Everyone's just so douchey on WoW now, whether the are stupid fourteen year olds or fourty year old elitest pigs, I haven't met anyone worth knowing on WoW in years, and anyone nice I had known from WoW, I don't talk to anymore, lol. Sure I got my best friend into playing, and now she plays and I don't, lol but she likes questing alone and likes figuring everything out for herself. She doesn'teven have WotLK yet, so we never really played together to begin with.

I think I may play again once she gets to 80, or if my boyfriend or brother get back into it, or when Cataclysm comes out, but for now I am happy not playing. CoD5 and Dragon Age have been satisfying my gaming needs, and they aren't costing me monthly to play! Plus, all the douchebags on CoD5 get shot, so it's much more satisfying than dealing with the douchey WoW players!

We'll see how long my little no-wow-athon lasts, but I dare say, dear Wow, this could be the end!

So this is what happens when you are an evil witch at the top of the Natural Science career... Lol I was a bit shocked when I headed out the door to work naked, but on closer inspection found the leaves! Nevertheless, makes me wonder what my Sim's been getting up to as a Ecological Guru... ?

What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been Indeed!

All I needed for the What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been achievement was the Sinister Squashling pet found during Hallow's End. I have been logging on every waking hour since the event started on Monday to trick-or-treat, and was beginning to get discouraged, but as I have found with most of the Holiday Achievements, all it took was a few days of serious commitment!

So I got the squashling in my treat bag this morning, which got me the Hallowed Be Thy Name and What a Long, Strange Trip It's Been achievements. After my initial happy dance and victory flight on my new Violet Proto-drake, I began to question how much of an achievement this all was...

In order to get the drake I needed to complete all 8 of the yearly in-game holiday event achievements (To Honor One's Elders, Fool For Love, Noble Gardener, For The Children, The Flame Warden, Brewmaster, Hallowed Be Thy Name, Merrymaker). Each of these holidays had me running all around Outland and Azeroth or logging on every couple hours and during actual real life holidays!! For a whole year now, every time I thought of a holiday, I would think of this achievement and the fact that I was one event closer to my proto-drake... I don't feel like it's such an accomplishment now, more that it's just kind of sad! Does WoW seriously control that much of my life!?

It has been somewhat lacking in appeal lately, and logging on is becoming somewhat of a chore (especially to get this damn proto-drake), so I am beginning to question why I am playing something I am not having fun with... I have never actually tried to quit WoW before, but I have taken breaks now and again for a few months at a time, but I am wondering if it's time to sheath the sword and give away all my gold to the poor(noobs)...

The social aspect of the game was always what I enjoyed most, meeting and interacting with new people, but lately I can't even keep a guild for over a month, and haven't made any new friends in over a year. Any friends I had made in WoW, I don't speak to anymore, and real life friends seem to be disappearing... I had never really thought that WoW was hurting my life in any way, but maybe all these social, employment, self image issues I have been having over the past few years, are all because of WoW! Looking back, I know I was in a better place before I stumbled into Azeroth 4 and 1/2 years ago, lots of friends, a job, acceptably outgoing, and now not so much...

It would feel like a bit of a waste of 4 years to quit now, leave all my characters and uninstall such a big part of my life... I don't have too much going on either, so without WoW I am kind of worried I would be bored... but maybe I wouldn't be? Maybe ditching the WarCrack would help me have a more normal socially acceptable lifestyle! I am not committing to uninstalling the game or anything... but it is something new I will consider... perhaps I am a bit addicted to it, or maybe logging on is just such a routine now, and I always hate to disrupt a good routine...

The Sims 2 Witches

I just recently got the Apartment Life expansion for the Sims 2 after reinstalling it when Sims 3 failed to impress me! I didn't know I had been missing out on Sims 2 equivalent of Makin' Magic, which was my favorite expansion for the original Sims!

It appears that the only way to become a witch in Apartment Life is to meet the head witch or warlock, become good friends, and ask them to make you one. The only challenging part of this is actually meeting the witch, because it's just random that they will show up on a community lot. The way it worked for me was to make my Sim's turn ons witch and robot. There were no robot people made yet in my neighborhood, so when I called the matchmaking service and asked for a blind date (which cost me 4,ooo simoleans) she made the head witch appear! Then it was easy.

Once your Sim is a witch, you can chose to be Good, Neutral or Evil. Depending on your alignment, you can learn spells by studying your spell book. Also, if you are full Evil or full Good, you can make an awesome thrown, which restores all your needs when you sit in it! Other craftable items include wall scones, a ceiling lamp and floor lamps, which can make your house look very spooky (if you're evil) or very pretty (if you're good).




As a witch you can learn to make all the important potions:
-ReNuYu Porta-chug
-Witchbegone-E
-Plantophic-C
-Vamprocillin-D
-Lycanthropic-B
-Love Potion #8.5
-Magically Spiced Sugar - increases Niceness (may only be available to Good Witches)
This will save you from having to call up the matchmaking gypsy every time you need one!

The following is a list of all the regents you can create, which are needed to cast the spells you can learn:
-Dragon's Scales (DS)
-Magic Dust (MD)
-Essence of Light (EoL) Used for Good Spells
-Crystallized Moonbeam (CM)
-Eye of Newt (EoN)
-Viper's Essence (VE) Used for Evil Spells

Now the important part, the spells are all named funny, and when you want to cast them it can be hard to remember exactly what each of them do! I wrote these all down to have as a quick reference when I want to cast something, instead of having to go all the way back to my spell book each time and "check abilities".

Light Spells:
Benemodus Simae (MDx1, DSx1) -Makes a single Sim happy
Creatum Insecto Volucris (CMx2, EoLx1) -Summons butterflies or fireflies
Exflammo (MDx1, CMx2) -Extinguishes a fire

So this will be my new gaming blog! I have been blogging as "Little Gamer Girl", but with my 25th birthday fast approaching, I think it is time for a screen name without "little" in it! Of course, Kitten isn't something I'd consider mature either, but I am a big fan of cats, and epics, so it's what I am going with!

I will start by saying that most of my blogs will be of the Xbox and PC gaming variety, although some Nintendo or PS stuff may sneak in from time to time. I am a bit of a 360 fangirl, so it's currently the only console I play, but maybe someday I will get a Wii!

The game that takes up most of my time these days is World of Warcraft, I wouldn't say I am addicted to it like so many fellow gamers, but then again, denyal is a sign of addiction, is it not? I also very much enjoy Call of Duty 4, and am anxiously awaiting the release of Modern Warfare 2 in November! I love The Sims 2, and play it a fair bit still, but hated The Sims 3 and it's supreme lack of content. How dare maxis milk us for the price of another 7 expansions!

There are of course many other games I love and hate (otherwise why would I have a gaming blog, right?) but I won't make a list of them... in my first post anyways!
